GUSTAV WOCHER

Cellist / Arranger / Samplist

At the age of 7 a fateful encounter with one of the most versatile and characteristic synthesizers of all music history should lay the cornerstone of Gustav Wocher's life and future: the violoncello.
Consequently Gustav received a degree as a concert cellist at the Bern Academy of the Arts (Switzerland) and the University Mozarteum Salzburg (Austria), graduating in 2018.
During his studies, he showed great dedication towards piano playing, which led to an additional enrolment in a piano degree.
Ultimately, though, his affinity towards sound and technology prevailed and since 2019 he has been committing himself to studying sound design, media composition and VSTi programming. Additionally he has also been active as a studio cellist.
Aside from his audio engineering activities Gustav is now engaged in a degree in music pedagogics and New Media.
